Sessions Schedule

Day 1

Fundamentals of Digital Strategy Essentials ( 9:30 AM )

This welcome session is all about setting a framework for shared language and concepts for digital strategy. It includes 60-70 minutes of core concepts and introductory Q&A.

Digital Planning Templates ( 11 AM )

Included with the training is access to several digital planning templates you’ll have access to for your organization, campaign, or project. We’ll breakdown the essentials of our Digital Project Planning Blueprint, Tagging Library, and Content Calendar which we’ll refer to throughout the training.

Lunch and Discussion ( Noon )

Attendees will have time to pick-up lunch nearby and return for open conversation. 

Audience Archetypes Lessons & Exercise ( 1 pm )

Audience Archetypes are key to good digital marketing and strategy. You’ll get the foundational understanding of using Audience Archetypes strategically across your projects and campaigns. We’ll workshop how to use them and equip you with templates you can take away.

Email Strategy Lessons and Exercise ( 2:30 PM )

Email is still the leading way to engage with supporters for any kind of organization. Email like all of the topics could cover weeks of training itself. We’ll make sure you have core strategies for testing, cohort management, list growth, and engagement. The session includes a 30-minute exercise to apply the concepts to your organization.

Social Strategy Lessons and Exercise ( 4 pm )

Social Media is only growing in impact and influence. We’ll talk about real strategies for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Exercise will help you think about resources, audiences, and goals for your organization.

Day 2

Websites Strategy & Analytics Lessons and Q&A ( 9:30 AM )

You won’t need to or learn to code in this session. We’ll be talking site strategy, development needs, and budgets. We’ll also be talking about the basics of analytics so your organization has a firm footing with plenty of time for questions and conversation.

Digital Advertising Strategy ( 11 AM )

We’ll dig into the core concepts of digital advertising and how to leverage it for your organization. You’ll have some of the core concept and key performance indicators to think about for your strategy and goals.

Lunch and Discussion ( Noon )

Attendees will have time to pick-up lunch nearby and return for open conversation. 

Creative Strategy Lessons ( 1 pm )

When we say digital we are talking about a lot of different tactics, mediums, and channels. SMS, Video, and Graphic Design are 3 key factors for developing a holistic strategy. This session is about covering strategic planning for all 3.

Content Development Lessons and Exercise ( 2:30 PM )

Website content and blogs have become central to organizations, but too often what goes up is written for internal audiences or an afterthought. We’ll discuss content strategies based on storytelling and “The Art of Explanation.” The exercise will help you plan more engaging content.

Building your plan exercise ( 4 pm )

We’ll close with working through the Digital Project Planning Blueprint together thinking about real plans and projects you have and discuss questions about executing real plans.
